Maggie Knox is an arts organization (501c3) supporting the local community through exhibitions, programming, and community engagement. MK is located at 1020 Collective in Erie, PA.
MK was founded by Sarah MK Moody (SMKM) in 2014 to support living women artists in Miami, New York and Erie, PA. MK has organized 100s of exhibitions, artist residencies, concerts, workshops, and large scale annual and special events programming for all.
Our focus is currently on 1020 Holland and 2016 Peach Street, The Bastion in Erie, PA: building community, exhibiting and collaborating with local artists in all media, and maintaining and upgrading our facilities at both locations in collaboration with Rick Bowser and 1020 Collective.

Every two years, MK organizes a Women’s Biennial showcasing artwork made by artists in our region. During the two month run, programming occurs in collaboration with contemplative, talented, creative leaders in our community. In 2023, we featured over 40 living artists in large to small scale works, as seen in the above photograph
Our next Biennial will run November 2025 - January 2026.
Submissions will open Summer 2025.
