Artist Statement:

Here in Ningbo, the light can be flat during the day because of the clouds. Thus, recently the majority of my photographs are taken at night. Taking pictures at night, or in any low light situation, creates an arena of issues to be taken into account. Reciprocity failure compensation, a mandatory tripod, measuring light, color shifts, and of course when shooting on film, the finished product is always a surprise that requires time to be revealed. The works on display are a collection of images that show moments during my urban exploration. Places that grabbed my attention, for one reason or another.
