About Lena:
For me Street Photography has always been the genre that has caught my eye the most. It’s so raw that it seems a shot can rarely be duplicated in the same manner. I took my first photography class in high school. It was apparent right then and there that I had found my true passion considering I was the only one in class taking photos like it was my job. But my trip to Thailand in 2003 and a move to New York City in 2009 was what really sparked my desire in capturing the human’s spirit in its most natural environment. Shooting street photography gives me a thrill that can actually relax me. I can transcend into what I’d call my zone. In my opinion everyone has their own form of therapy, mine just so happens to be shooting street.
